Run Britain Day 151: Back to Tain

I am looking for any extra bit of the coastline to run at the moment (to get my total distance as high as possible). But today, with a few logistical things to sort out, I decided to run the wrong way around the coast and back to Tain.

It was the right decision. The combination of lack of shower and ongoing issues with night sweats made for a horrible night’s sleep. My trainers are well and truly on their last legs too, which has caused some aching in my foot. And the wind was back in full force, so it was nice to spend some time running with it behind me.

I completed just a short day today, while Lottie hunted for more goodies in Home Bargains. We used the extra time to sort out the van, hunt out a shower and head to Inverness airport to pick Katie up. She’s come to join us for a couple of days of running and van life.

We had a surprisingly great meal in the Balintore Inn. It’s definitely starting to feel like we’re heading back to civilisation now that we’re parking up in villages which have pubs that are actually open.
