Run Britain Day 90: From Millom to St Bees
A day that has been in the diary for the last few months - the arrival of Beth and Ryan for a long weekend of running in the Lake District. My sister and her fiance have been two of my biggest cheerleaders from the very start of Run Britain and I have been so excited to see them.
But first, my return to the coast path after far too many days skirting around rivers.
The sun was shining and I was joined by two local runners and a friend who I first met in Cornwall and just happened to be in the Lake District on her way home from Christmas spent in Scotland (she’d got stuck for longer than expected by the snow).
The running day was magical and one of the longest days for a while. I arrived at St Bees feeling better about Run Britain than I have done for a very long time.
