Run Britain Day 79: Bangor to Colwyn Bay

Firstly, an apology. I realise that the ‘abrupt end’ in Bangor was not a good place to leave my daily diary. The good news is that at the time of writing, I am on day 107 and still moving. There has been more drama, but I’ll get to that.

Returning to Bangor after a healthy meal and a really good night’s sleep was far less intimidating than I expected. And the start of today’s route was actually a lovely stretch of slightly frozen coast path - a good booster to get back into the swing of things.

The coast path didn’t last the whole way to Llandudno. It did turn into a horrible stretch of hard shoulder and one of the most depressing parts of the coast path so far, which included beach huts cut into the side of a dual carriageway. But Llandudno is nice and I was able to use the toilet at the hotel I stayed in last night, which was a relief. Toilets are becoming an increasingly important luxury in daily stopping points.
