Run Britain Day 55: From Newport to Barry

The coast path remains relatively bleak and uninspiring, which may explain why today I was absolutely exhausted. I even had to stop for an espresso at Greggs (I don’t drink coffee) in the hope that a caffeine hit would get me going.

Today really has felt like a slog. But I enjoyed a lovely boost in Penarth when I was joined for a bit of walking by Annabel and Jonny, plus some lovely views and a chocolate trifle.

The nights really are drawing in now and even 4pm finishes are stretching the daylight a bit. But there were donuts waiting for me at the car in Barry which made the end of a long day a lot better.
