Run Britain day 43: From Carbis Bay to Perranporth

I am now officially on the north coast of Cornwall and it shows. The craggy rocks and scrambling have been replaced by high cliff paths, golden beaches and dunes.

It means I am well and truly back to running. Which means that today I completed my first ultra-marathon day since Dorset.

Today I had a higher goal and a lower goal, and after powering to only a few miles short of my lower goal by lunchtime, I decided to push all the way to Perranporth.

It’s nice to be running along a section of a coast that I know. And although a 4:45 finish was arguably slightly too late, it didn’t matter too much now that I am (temporarily) on familiar ground.
