Run Britain Day 32: From Torcross to the first bridge over the Avon estuary

The promised crisp, clear winter days have not arrived in Devon. Today was mild and damp which didn’t do much for my blisters.

But the coast path is rugged here which means at least I didn’t have to contend with the mud.

It’s a really spectacular bit of coast path here, but it is tiring. Mentally, I’m feeling motivated (certainly a great improvement on the weekend), but physically, I am exhausted. When I am not running, I can barely keep my eyes open.

I’ve had the first two of the four river estuaries fo the next couple of days to contend with today. From Salcombe, I headed inland to cross the first bridge over the Avon estuary. Tomorrow I need to decide whether to drop back onto the coast path and wade across the Erme, or stick to the drier (but less spectacular) bridge-based route.

But now, sleep.
