Run Britain Day 31: Paignton to Torcross
Today the views made up for the hills.
Those hills were still painful, but with the sun shining on the sea, I was at least able to appreciate being at the top. (There was a point where I had to just sit down on the road though because my legs were beaten.)
I also met Billy, the tiniest, happiest puppy. I was given a free ferry ride across the Dart by the lovely ferryman (Dartmouth is also spectacular). And I had a nice chat with Alan who lives right on the South West coast path on the climb out of Dartmouth.
Small wins to make the day significantly easier.
Iām also being supported through this section by Steve who recently completed his own 200 marathons in 200 days and became the oldest person to circumnavigate the coast path.
The running community is really special and I am feeling pretty proud to be inching my way towards the sub-section of that community who can say they have covered the whole coast path.
