Run Britain Day 11: Upper Stoke to Sittingbourne

Another day with a very welcome tailwind. And although there was another river (The Medway) to skirt around, it didn’t feel quite a as depressing as some of the estuaries in Essex.

From Stoke up the river to Rochester, which has a castle and a bakery selling ham and cheese croissants. And then back down the river through Chatham (where the coast path signs become a little confusing) and east along the English channel.

Today I was joined by Andrew on his bike, whose company made the second half marathon fly by. And who also encouraged me to take a quick dip in the sea on arrival in Westgate (my temporary home for the next two nights), which has really helped ease the tightness in my hamstrings.
