Run Britain Day 8: From near Southend-on-Sea to Leigh-on-Sea

The good news is, the bleak marshes of Essex are behind me. Another 12km of it today and it’s done.

I’ve made it to the mouth of the Thames, along a very windy north side of the river, through the bright lights of Southend (where I am now in a Premier Inn) and to Leigh-on-Sea - which is much nicer than its neighbour down the coast.

I am nursing a bit of an injury though. And as I wait for my pizza quite grumpily, I am hoping for a better day tomorrow.
