Run Britain Day 45: From Porthcothan to Trebarwith
Today it rained.
Not a light drizzle, a shower, or even a temporary downpour. It was a constant downpour. All day long.
Hopes were high in the morning as I crossed the river at Padstow over to Rock. But those hopes were quickly dashed when I couldn’t see Polzeath Beach from the car park (which is right next to the beach).
An excellent pub in Port Isaac and a full change of clothes improved the day slightly.
And Heather came to join me for the final few miles (including the muddiest section of the coast path so far). We slipped a lot and laughed a lot too.
But that was a tough one.
