Run Britain Day 100: Beekeepers association of West Galloway

I have made it to the halfway point. It’s not halfway in terms of distance and I am pretty sure it’s not actually even going to be halfway in terms of time because I think I am going to finish on 7 May (which is in 105 days time), but it’s still a ceremonial point.

On Day 100, we left Kat’s car in a town hall and then drove in Simon’s car about 15 miles down the road. We then got out of the car and Kat and I ran back again. What a ridiculous thing to do!

By the time we had got back to the town hall, its car park had filled up and a kind group of (mostly) men were standing outside the building clapping me in. It turns out they’re the Beekeepers Association of West Galloway, here for their monthly meeting of honey tasting and mead drinking.

A more welcoming and generous bunch of people, you couldn’t hope to meet. They warmed us up with tea, which went very nicely with the cake that Simon had bought to celebrate day 100.
